The Mazatapec indigenous people used them in ceremonies to connect with spirits and the divine and to heal their ailments. This variety and its spores were the first Psilocybe species to be introduced to the Western world, making them especially important in the microscopy community. Spore Features
Spores are dark purple to brownish, sub-ellipsoid on 4-spored basidia. This strain is a moderate-to-high spore producer and produces very dark prints.
